ZUCHELLI GRAFT
The
Connective Tissue Platform
part 1
1 CENTRAL INCISOR part 1
2 incisions are done at the edentulous site:
1 buccal & the other palatal.
The tissue remaining in beteween these 2 incisions is what we call the platform. This will be desepithelialized later, then becoming the CT Platform.
Split thickness elevation of both the buccal & the palatal flaps, till the bone is reached, full thickness from then on.
As you cannot advance the palatal flap to a more coronal position we limit the palatal incision to the edentulous site.
The buccal flap involves 2 teeth on each side of the edentulous site.
On the buccal flap we do both the deep periosteal incision and the superficial one.
We desepithelialize the platform.
We harvest a FGG that we also desepithelialize.
If we want to have, in some point, double the thickness of the graft, we can fold it into itself and with a simple suture make it double.
A second FGG can be applied to the buccal part of the defect.
