The most severe of the known Corona Viruses are:
the MERS Coronavirus (causing Middle East Respiratory Syndrome);
the SARS Coronavirus (causing Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome),
and the most recent 2019 Novel Coronavirus (the Wuhan Virus).
The Wuhan Virus/ COVID 19 is called the 2019 Novel Coronavirus because it is was never seen such a mutation of an animal coronavirus.
